Story is not over
This morning, I was listening to a new podcast. From The
North Masonic Podcast. It was the first time I tuned in. Listening to this
episode it did not cover anything Masonic. But it was so very important that I
am going to steal a bit of Garys thunder.
Are you ok? No, really are you doing alright? We are living
in some interesting times and sometimes they can impact us. Or sometimes we
just wake up “Blue”. It’s ok to be a bit blue from time to time, it happens.
What is not ok is to wake up having what I call a “Black Day”. When you stop
and have thoughts of self-harm.
Do I understand it? Ya, I do. I have woken up and had far
more “Blue Days” than I would have liked. Even a few “Black”. Now, am I going
to hurt myself? No, I’m not and for a number of reasons. The first I do not
want to get to the end of all this and see those I care about ask me “I needed
you, why did you leave”. I would have no answer. The other reasons? I still
have people to love on and people to piss off. Both are life goals. I have to
be here to achieve them.
Just know that if times get rough and your heart and mind
start playing tricks on you, as can happen. Take a breath, hold it for a minute
and let it go. Every breath is the GAOTU telling you that you are still
valuable, you still have purpose, and you are still loved.
But if things get a bit rough. Call a Brother, a family
member, a friend. Please make the call. Or if you don’t want to talk to them
dial 988. There are trained folks that will help you out.
Your story is not over yet….and it gets better, I promise.
I love you and may we govern ourselves accordingly
