The ride home

So last night on the way home from Saint Louis I had a really good conversation. We talked about divisions and how small the world really is. The Earth is at its circumference is about 24,901 miles. Yet with modern technology those miles are reduced to seconds of time.

How you can travel the world in a day from one point to another. But send a message in a matter of seconds. In fact, I can have a conversation with someone on the other side of the Glode in real time.

How the Universe or our view of Deity is one great “all that is” broken down to different aspects and views depending on culture and points of view. How that is the most blessed and beneficial understanding of who we are.

We spend so much time trying to divide ourselves. Based on race, religion, politics, and any other thing we can use. Why? Power and control is the only thing I can come up with. But, this is a very dangerous thing. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

How does this apply to Masonry? The answer is simple. How do we “Meet, Act, and Part”? No not everyone should have a dues care and be a member of our Gentle Craft. Everyone should hold to its basic principles and ideals.

The idea that there is one humanity and we are all connected under the umbrella of Deity, no matter how you view that Spirit.  That we are the uniter of men for the betterment of all mankind. Btw mankind means everyone. Why? It is in our closing charge “And these generous principles are to extend farther. Every human being has a claim upon your kind offices.”

Every Human Being, no matter their race, religion, political connection, culture, etc. It does not matter. They breathe the same air, the same blood is running in their veins, and they share the same spark from the divine creator.

It is this simple understanding that can and if we properly apply it will shed the world of division and the lust for power and control.

We discussed a world conciseness. How it was coming. I believe in a Masonic conciseness which it’s a openness to all of humanity as a form of “enlightenment”. Where the quest for personal power is more important than the quest for global power. But, at the same time knowing that personal becomes global as we support those around us.

As I work (and it is a daily chore) to better myself and improve my walk. May my actions improve my view of the world and thus yours. In hopes of unification of the world. Because it is getting smaller every day. Btw, may your work make it better for me too.

I love you and may we govern ourselves accordingly.
